Me and hospice...

Today i went to Hospice... finally after so many people said that they see light in the darkness there... Hmm... O, what is hospice? See this...

First v have a two hours LONG lecture on pain management with a lot of questions BEING ASK at us... I barely have answer for any of the questions...

Then there is the chatting session with patient, our patient is Mr. V, who has lung cancer since 6 years ago. From our conversation, i found out(from what v chat):
  • Cigarette is not bad or else government have already ban it, it's not the tax, as government have to spend more than they take from taxes for diseases that associate with cigarette
  • Stress is nothing, n nothing should lead to stress
  • According to him, everyone wear mask, just when n what the mask is
  • He is the pillar of the hospice(according to another patient)
  • He dislike doctor a lot
  • He ask y v can't create medicine that destroy virus(hopefully one day there will be...)
  • He is SO +++
  • Fruit juice is very important(only freshly squash one)
  • O, he ask me to EXERCISE...
  • It is faith for everything, if everyone is professional, who is going to sell nasi lemak?(nice one)
  • N he know more on drugs than me: he know what statex is... WOW!!
  • N a lot more which i can't remember all...

Talking with him is quiet fun as i can see stuff that i usual see in a different angle, who cares whether is the right angle, as long that i see it another way round...

Then v when for lunch, then come back n v have another patient to interview, he is mr. HH, he according to him he has prostate cancer but the chief complain is leg swelling... From our talk:

  • He is active in sport a long time ago, but he choose love over sport
  • He is ALSO very +++
  • He love company a lot, but most of his family members n friend r busy
  • He adore hospice, he said that he is serve like KING there
  • He went through more than what i can think of times 50
  • Again, someone ask me to exercise, even walking will do, he say LAZY is the word for those, ok la, for ME that neglect exercise over anything
  • Lots more that i forget...

Talking to Mr. MM is also very enjoyable as he is very generous to share with us his life...

Generally my trip to hospice is an enjoyable one minus the stressful lecture... I feel enjoy to talk with people more experience than me coz i think they think more differently... I think hospice do a very good job as the only complain i get from the patients is that they can't come more often to there... Congrats whoever concern with hospice.
